3-19-09: Planning Day (A Days)

Today we started class with our punctual piece: Using the research you have collected and now analyzed, write an instant version of your research paper in 7-8 sentences.

Then we started planning our Research Papers. First we completed the Organization Template to map out our introduction and thesis, all three supports, and the conclusion.

After we mapped out our papers, we talked about how we are going to write the paper. This will not be a traditional research paper, but instead we are going to present our research in multiple genres--something called a Multi-genre Research Paper. We talked about the expectations and then completed the Genre Planning sheet.

It is essential that you get caught up if you are behind. We will begin writing the Research Paper next class!

For Monday:
1. Bring hall passes and late work passes
2. Complete the Genre Planning Sheet if you didn't finish in class
3. Complete the Organization Template and Genre Planning Sheet if you missed class
